Context
The principle of “cooperative direct sale”: unlike a “classic” grocery store, is that each producer defines his prices and remains responsible for and owner of his products until the sale (direct sale). This way of eliminating intermediaries allows producers to find added value on their products, financial autonomy and to participative to the governance of the marketing system!
The consumer finds transparency on the production methods of the products but also on the prices : the store takes a small commission to ensure its operating costs but the profits made are redistributed directly to the producers!
Project
The Coop Paysanne store is a SICA (agricultural collective interest company), enabling farmers to be associated with project leaders. The Coop Paysanne store is located in the town of Cenon. Other places are also planned.
The Coop Paysanne is a collective selling point of producers united within the framework of an agricultural cooperative.
The aim of this project is therefore to sell on a short circuit and to guarantee quality and transparency to consumers : producers are clearly identified on their products and are available to customers to provide them with the information they need to better understand their production methods.
Project leaders
Since 2013, the Coop Paysanne has been a team of 8 associated producers from Gironde and several dozen non-associated contributing producers. They are in all fifty. All of these producers have united around the desire to control the quality of production and enhance the Gironde heritage, while allowing them to participate in the local economy.
The Little Extra
The Coop Paysanne has the label “Solidarity Company of social utility” and thus commits in its social and economic functioning to respect certain criteria, such as the purpose of general or collective interest, democratic governance, free membership, profitability limited, or territorial anchoring and citizen mobilization.

Coop Paysanne
La Coop Paysanne is a network of collective stores of local producers located in Lormont and Cenon. No intermediary: come and meet your producers and buy purebred beef, fatty duck, dairy products, fruits, vegetables, jams ...
