Maison Meneau makes organic and fair trade drinks. A leader in its field, the company is always at the forefront of innovation.
Project
Maison Meneau was created in the port of Bordeaux in 1879. Now located in St Loubès in Gironde, it offers a wide range of syrups, juices, nectars, smoothies, lemonades and sparkling wines, under the brands FIZZ Limo, FIZZ Cola, Bella Lula and many others. Their drinks are based on good quality fruit, know-how and artisanal manufacturing. All of their products are free from additives, preservatives and flavor enhancers. Their mint syrup is therefore not neon green, but rather brown!
To avoid food waste Maison Meneau uses seasonal and oversized fruit which would not be used otherwise. As far as possible the fruit is purchased in Aquitaine.
The Bio Sud Ouest France brand is an organic and local range that also serves to develop the South West apple sector via a multi-year contract.

Fair For Life, organic fair trade for the sugar industry.
Maison Meneau has set up a Fair Trade partnership in the fair trade organic cane sugar sector in Paraguay under the FAIR FOR LIFE standard, for Fair, Solidarity and Responsible exchanges.
210 producers from the ASOCACE cooperative Asociacion de Canicultores Organicos de la Zona Central cultivate organic sugar cane and sell it on site at the factory which transforms it into sugar. Meneau buys sugar from these factories at a FAIR price which covers production costs, environmental and social costs, and leaves room for investment (in schools or dental clinics).
Maison Meneau was awarded the Factory of the Future label. Led by the Aquitaine Region, it has carried out in-depth work on its production tool and its organization, in order to meet the environmental and social challenges of its activity.
The company obtained the “Excellence” mention in the context of an audit on its social responsibility, led by Ecocert.
Project leaders
The family business has a history and has been passed down from father to son for 139 years. Today, Vincent and Philippe Lasalle Saint-Jean manage the business. Their motto is as follows: "consuming organic fair trade and organic solidarity makes the world more human and more viable". Maison Meneau employs 20 people over the year.
The Little Extra
The production is still artisanal, and not industrial like its competitors. It sources from the renewable electricity supplier Enercoop.
